Curated by AJ Laird, the exhibition features 19th- and 20th-century mariners’ logbooks, which documented every aspect of sea voyages as they unfolded and reveal the complex world of the whaling industry.

Elga Ruth Wasserman, JD ’76, was a passionate advocate for the first classes of women enrolled in Yale College in the 1960’s and ’70s. Her portrait was installed in Bass Library last year.
